Born in Wynne, Arkansas, Thomas E. Boggs moved to Memphis when he was 7 years old.
After earning his diploma from Central High School, he pursued a career in music before arriving in the hospitality industry. He waited tables at TGI Fridays to pay for his college education, but his hard work quickly led him to the corporate headquarters in Dallas, TX and a job traveling across the country to open new Friday’s restaurants.

Thomas returned to Memphis a few years later and became part of the Huey's management team. At the time, Huey's was just a bar, but Boggs used his corporate expertise to build Huey's into the popular casual dining establishment it is today. Boggs is now an owner and operator of seven Huey's locations in Memphis. He's also a partner in the Half Shell, Tsunami and Folk's Folly restaurants."

" Thomas is a past president of the Memphis Restaurant Association, the Memphis Zoological Society, Memphis in May and the Memphis Food Bank. He also at one time served as chairman of the Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau. Having been so fortunate in his career, Thomas donates countless hours to local charities and provides food and money for many local events."
