New Teachers Invited to Join New Literacy Learning Web Site
Teacher’s
Workplace, a new professional development portal for Memphis City Schools,
is taking staff development offerings on-line for anytime, anywhere
access. The site was designed to build a stronger learning community
and to allow new teachers to continue their professional growth by
providing online learning, collaboration and evaluation opportunities
with other educators.

Road takes December’s Chick-Fil-A honors
When
it comes to a little friendly competition, students and staff at Holmes
Road Elementary proved they weren’t chicken. They won December’s
Blue Ribbon Night at Chick-Fil-A, and Principal Eugene Lockhart accepted
the $910 check for the school.
