Wooddale Middle School is a public urban middle school. The school opened in the fall of 1970. In 1997-98, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accredited Wooddale Middle School. The facility has a library media center, gymnasium, auditorium, science lab, and a cafeteria. Every classroom is equipped with computers for student use. There is a professional development center offering high tech tools and equipment for teacher use.

Students attending Wooddale Middle School are primarily residents of the Parkway Village, Fox Meadows, and Hickory Hill neighborhoods of East Memphis. Our parent group is very active in supporting and promoting high levels of academic achievement by serving on various planning teams.
