Welcome to the Student Transportation home page. We hope your visit provides you with all the information you require regarding your child’s school assignment and transportation eligibility. We encourage you to contact our office with any unanswered questions. You may contact us at the address or phone number listed below.

Memphis City Schools currently transports approximately 21,000 students to school daily. This number includes students attending regular programs, Exceptional Children, English As a Second Language Students, and eligible “No Child Left Behind” students. Additionally, transportation is provided for students who attend Vocational, CLUE and In-Community programs, along with after school buses for transported students who are required to stay after school for approved activities.

     
 

It is the Mission of the Student Transportation Office to ensure that all eligible students are provided safe, efficient and dependable transportation to and from school on a daily basis. Our office works closely with contractors to ensure that all students are transported according to Government Safety Regulations. Transportation employees strive to utilize every essential aspect when planning and scheduling bus stops and routes. Other programs managed by Student Transportation include:

  • Memphis City Schools Vehicle Inventory
  • Maintain records on Memphis City School employees eligible to transport students to school related activities
