MISSION STATEMENT

The Division of Internal Audit ’ mission is to support the Memphis Board of Education by ensuring the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information, measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, and providing appropriate internal controls in which to safeguard assets in compliance with local, state, and federal law to the full benefit of the student body of the Memphis City Schools.

The Division of Internal Audit serves as an independent, objective appraising and consulting component designed to add value and improve the operations of Memphis City Schools. We encourage you to utilize our Division as a valuable resource of information that can assist in the effective management of the assets held by Memphis City Schools. Our Division provides policies and procedures that when followed endorse integrity, compliance, and good sound business practices in all operations within Memphis City Schools.
