In the Memphis City Schools (MCS), the Chief of Staff works to ensure that the directives of the Superintendent are accomplished. In pursuit of this goal, the Chief supports the Superintendent by chairing the Superintendent's senior leadership team and serving as the primary staff liaison to the MCS Board of Commissioners. The Office of the Chief of Staff (OCS) also includes the district's charter schools coordinator, who facilitates district support for, and interaction with, all Memphis charter schools. The Chief also directs the activities of the divisions of Policy and Strategic Planning, No Child Left Behind and Communications and Public Affairs; and leads and manages special projects initiated by the Superintendent.

This office facilitates the District's relationship with Memphis, existing charter schools and coordinates the process for individuals & organizations that wish to open new charter schools.

This division provides support to schools, programs, departments and the school district as a whole by articulating and disseminating school district policy and procedure, strategic planning and fund development.

Public Engagement - Coming Soon
