Practical Steps

Submit a Grant Proposal Brief to grants@mcsk12.net prior to submission of the grant.
- Community Partnership briefs should be cc’d to the MCS liaison helping to develop the proposal.
- School-level briefs should be cc’d to the school principal.
- District-level briefs should be cc’d to the appropriate supervisor.
- Be aware that the Evaluation Plan for your proposal may need to be approved by the Department of Research, Evaluation and Assessment prior to submission.
- If your proposal is a community partnership or district-level proposal, or it requires the Superintendent’s signature, work with the Department of Federal Programs and Grants to present the brief to the district’s Academic Leadership Team prior to the proposal submission deadline.
- If you wish, submit a draft of your proposal (including budget) to the FP&G Grants Office for review,
comments, and suggestions. Reviews will be conducted as staff schedules permit
- If your proposal is a community partnership or district-level proposal, or it requires the Superintendent’s signature, work with the Department of Federal Programs and Grants to present the brief to the district’s Academic Leadership Team prior to the proposal submission deadline.
- All requests for the Superintendent’s signature on grant proposals must be made through the FP&G
Grants Office. If possible, requests should be made a week prior to the deadline.
