Corrective Action/Restructuring

Memphis City Schools is committed to ensuring academic success for your child and other Memphis City schools students. As a result, we will continue to keep you informed of the progress of the district, the school and your student. Please click here for a look at the academic status of your child's school. If your child’s school is in Corrective Action, then it has been on the state’s High Priority list for four years. Restructuring schools are on the list for five or more years. Under both of those academic performance categories they are required to develop Corrective Action or Alternative Governance plans.

It is our belief that the Alternative Governance and/or Correction Action Plans, which are continually being developed, will result in an increase in academic achievement at your child’s school. Of the schools listed in these categories, more than half are already seeing significant improvement. For us to realize 100% effectiveness, we need your involvement.
