What are Watch D.O.G.S.?

Fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other adult males who volunteer for one or more days each year at a local school. Watch D.O.G.S. is an innovative program focusing on the prevention of crime in our children’s schools.

What are the Goals of Watch D.O.G.S.?

The primary goals are to:

  • Allow Watch D.O.G.S. to serve as a wake up call to men all across the district highlighting the tremendous impact of being a positive role model to not only their children, but the entire student body of their schools.
  • Help make schools a safer environment where positive learning can take place.
  • Help dads reconnect with their kids and can potentially have a positive impact on the school, administration, teachers, families and the entire community.

How do you become a Watch D.O.G.S?

  • Complete the Watch D.O.G.S registration form that will be sent to your child’s school
  • Complete the volunteer application and turn it into BOE room, or turn it into your school's counselor who will make sure the information is hurriedly mailed.
