Memphis City Schools provides six Career and Technology Centers, two Adult Education Centers, and a Telecommunications Center each of which offers a variety of instructional programs. Students from high schools (feeder schools) and the community come to the centers to attend classes and participate in specialized training opportunities and professional student organizations. In addition, each center provides guidance counselors, career services, and academic resources to assist students with all of their needs as they prepare for careers and post-secondary opportunities. There are also Careers and Technology programs offered in thirty-two high schools, two alternative schools, several middles schools and the Job Corps Academy, as well as Northeast, Northwest, Southeast and Southwest Prep Academies. |
