Purpose:
The current Exceptional
Children Advisory Council was created from a
resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners
and Superintendent of Memphis City Schools during
the 2002/2003 school year. The Council was
established as a means to support efforts to
increase and strengthen parent involvement and
participation in meaningful ways in the school
district and local schools, for parents of
students with disabilities.
