Homebound / Hospital Program

The Homebound / Hospital program provides educational instruction for students who are unable to attend their regular school program.  Instruction takes place at the student’s home, hospital, or institution and is conducted by certified MCS teachers.  Students with an IEP or 504 services plan continue their individualized programs while on homebound.  The homebound teacher issues conduct and academic grades based on the material covered during the homebound sessions.

Parents or guardians should contact the student’s home school when homebound services are required.  The proper medical referral form must be completed and returned to the school before service is provided.  Information and referral forms are also available at the homebound office (901-416-0158).

Location: Bond Building, 2930 Airways Blvd., Memphis, TN 38116.

Contact: Barbara Bolton, Coordinator (901) 416-0203.
