It is our responsibility to: (1) Find the individuals
through interviewing students that are 22 years of age or younger;
(2) Assess all students who have been identified as eligible for
special education services; (3) Find records to corroborate their
placement and bring them into compliance; (4) Instruct the students
in their area of need and help them develop academic skills for
the GED and vocational skills for transitioning into a job upon
their release; (5) Act as an advocate during sentencing and parole
hearings; and (6) Act as contact upon release to help transition
the student into a job and/or educational programs.
