J. Christopher Simmons is currently a Chairman's Office Partner and Chief Diversity Officer ("CDO") of PricewaterhouseCoopers, one of the largest professional services firms in the United States, with over 25,000 employees. PricewaterhouseCoopers provides financial audit, tax advice and consulting services to a high percentage of the country's leading companies. Chris reports to the firm's U.S. Chairman and Senior Partner, Dennis Nally, and is also a member of the United States Leadership Team and the Human Resources Leadership Team. As the firm's CDO, Mr. Simmons designs the strategy and tactics required to make PricewaterhouseCoopers a unique haven for talent of all descriptions and also leads a network of regional and national diversity/worklife managers.


Prior to assuming leadership of the diversity function, which also includes a focus on worklife improvement, Chris was the Partner-in-Charge of the firm's Office Corporate Development function. In this capacity, he oversaw and executed merger, acquisition, divestiture and investment transactions. Prior to joining the Chairman's office in 1997, Chris was a Managing Director in the client-facing corporate finance practice, where he advised clients and led the execution of numerous merger and acquisition transactions. Chris joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1992, following a mix of finance, sales and marketing experiences at Bankers Trust Company of New York, Wang Laboratories and IBM.


Chris is a graduate of Harvard College and received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1986. Chris has offices in Atlanta and New York City, and travels extensively to local offices within the United States.
