Willie Gregory goes above and beyond the call of duty. In both his work as Director of US Community/Business Investment for Nike Tennessee, and his personal life in the Memphis community in which he lives and works. Willie exemplifies the “Just Do It” attitude.


He has responsibility for Community and Business Investment, Government Relations, Employee Activities, Media/Public Relations and Sports marketing for Nike Tennessee.


He has more than 20 years of experience in sports, community and business investment, as well as marketing and sales experience. His first assignment at Nike was National Customer Service Manager for the Apparel Division, then as Director of Community/Business Investment US, and his present position as Director, Community/Business Investment Nike Tennessee.


Prior to joining Nike, Willie was employed by The IBM Corporation for 16 years in the Sales and Marketing Division. He ended his employment with IBM as regional marketing/sales manager.


He is an alumnus of Booker T. Washington High, Mississippi Valley State University and Memphis State University (now The University of Memphis).


Willie’s passion for his community goes well beyond his duties at Nike. He is the former Chairman of the Memphis and Shelby County Sports Authority, a board member of: The National Civil Rights Museum, The Liberty Bowl, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Memphis, and The Porter Leath Home for Children.


He is the father of two sons, Will Jr., and Benjamin. Both are students at Mississippi Valley State University and are Memphis City School graduates.
