Volunteer State Health Plan (VSHP) in partnership with the Memphis Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) will host a spring conference to focus on the issues related to health and life styles for athletes in Middle and High Schools of the Memphis City School System. The conference will consist of four separate but coordinated workshops for high school athletes, middle school athletes, coaches and parents of athletes. Keynote speakers to include: professional athletes, coaches, doctors, and other health care professionals. Pre-Registration from March 25 – April 18.

The Conference will include a special orientation conducted by MIAA for 8th grade athletes and their parents.

The conference will be held Saturday May 10, 2008 at Bellevue Baptist Church. Conference – 12:30 – 5:00 (Registration/Check In - 12:00)No cost to athletes, parents, coaches, or school.

Transportation will be provided round trip from high school to location. Number of buses per school determined by pre-registration as of April 18 .
