Teacher Induction Resources
Below you will find information that includes instructional, planning,
assessment, communications, professional growth, and classroom management
documents that beginning teachers can use independently or that mentors
can use to guide discussions with their novices. Also included is information
about new teachers and effective mentoring strategies for mentors to
reference.
Instructional Resources --
strategies that will improve classroom instruction and student learning.
Planning Resources -- a variety
of tools to assist beginning teachers with setting goals and planning
units and lessons.
Assessment, Communications, and Professional
Growth Resources -- a variety of professional growth resources for
new teachers as they seek to collaborate with other educators, to grow
as professionals, to expand their knowledge of the teaching profession,
and to generally continue to develop. The page also contains assessment
tips, information to improve communications with stakeholders, and numerous
resources related to standardized tests.
Classroom Management Resources
-- information and resources in areas like student discipline, classroom
environment, class procedures, and managing classroom resources.
Mentor Resources -- information about
beginning teachers and effective mentoring strategies that mentors can
