The Adopt-A-School Program helps to establish productive partnerships between schools and community supporters from local businesses, civic groups, and faith-based and community organizations. These partnerships serve as a commitment by both the school and the adopter to work together to promote the academic achievement and personal growth of students.

Donations are typically made according to the particular needs of a school and the resources of the adopter. School adopters provide whatever assistance they can, including time, services, monetary donations and/or in-kind goods.

Memphis City Schools’ Adopt-A-School Program currently partners with over 650 business and community organizations. Founded in 1979 with nine partners, MCS’s Adopt-A-School Program is one of the oldest in the United States.

Find out how your organization can get involved.
All that is required of organizations who wish to participate is the desire to help!
