Superintendent's
Corner
This
week, February 6 – 10, we salute and celebrate our more than
300 counselors in Memphis City Schools who daily touch the minds, lives
and hearts of our students by helping with schedules and college applications;
by connecting students to social services and health care agencies;
by consoling and guiding students who are experiencing anxiety, depression
or may be affected by eating disorders, drug and chemical use, teenage
pregnancy or who feel like dropping out, and by often encouraging and
advising students to hold onto their fragile hopes and dreams.
