Craigmont
Army JROTC Squad Takes Second at National Shootout
When the smoke
cleared at the National All-Army JROTC Air Rifle Championship, only
one team celebrated more than Craigmont High School. The Craigmont
High squad finished its historic run as the number two Army Air Rifle
team in the United States Sunday in Ft. Benning, Georgia.

Sheffield
Increases Historical Awareness with Unique Service Project
A very
unforgettable community service project came to a close last week at
Sheffield High School. Teachers in the Social Studies Department had
students pay respect to those who paved the way for them by refurbishing
Historic Zion Cemetery in South Memphis, which is the final resting
place of over 200,000 African-American slaves.

Next MCS Blue Ribbon Night at
Chick-Fil-A is
Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 4th!
It’s
time to MOO-VE your students and staff to “Eat Mor Chiken!” The
next MCS Blue Ribbon Night at Chick-Fil-A is tomorrow. Remember that
10 percent of the proceeds that MCS generates on April 4th will go
to the school that has the most attendance on that night.

Les
Passes & Kids On The Block Puppets Take On Bullying
Les
Passes, Incorporated presented a program to students at Lakeview Elementary
entitled Kids On The Block. The presentation included a skit with puppet
show and information on bullying. The presentation of Kids On The Block
is one strategy the school uses to teach students about dealing with
bullies.
