The “Our-Children-
Our Future” tutoring program, nominated for a "Spirit of
Giving” Award, was selected as a first place winner, it was announced
on April 25 at the volunteer recognition luncheon hosted by Volunteer
Memphis.

Exceptional Students Display Exceptional Work
The Division of
Exceptional Children and Health Services of Memphis City Schools hosted “A
Very Special Arts Festival” at Hope Presbyterian Church in Cordova
last week. The event gave the Memphis Arts community the chance to
embrace MCS students and offer hope through the joys of art.

Celebration to Embrace Diversity, Culture and Creativity
On Wednesday, May
10, the doors of Peabody Elementary will lead to some of the world’s
most wonderful treasures when the school hosts its annual International
Festival. Music, food and art from regions around the globe will be
on display at this colorful celebration.
