MCS Reads officially launched September 18 in Memphis City Schools. As promised, the first set of incentives at the elementary, middle and high school levels will be awarded based on reading activities/initiatives.
Balmoral Elementary Nominated by State
for National Blue Ribbon School of the Year Award
Balmoral was nominated for its dramatic improvement in student achievement, despite more than 40 percent of its students coming from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The school is one of six from across the state nominated for the national award program.
