Memphis, Tenn: - On Friday, October 30, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., the award-winning Overton Dance Team will teach teams of student trainees in elementary, middle and high schools a classroom lesson about positive communication and fight free resolution.
Safe and Drug Free Schools research states that the most powerful prevention programs are those in which older students model behavior and provide younger students with data that can help them choose a safe and drug free lifestyle. Fight free training is completely student led and offers prevention activities that promote leadership and positive behavior.
Students who participate in this training can perform for their school community and teach the positive communication lesson as part of any school's
Fight Free Team throughout the school year and during MCS Healthy Choices Week, November 30 - December 4, 2009.
