Professional Learning Unlocks Student Achievement
Research has demonstrated time and again that teachers are the single greatest factor influencing student
achievement. Yet, professional development, the most significant leverage point to strengthening teaching quality,
is only given surface‐level consideration in many schools and districts. To ensure that professional learning makes a
difference not only for teachers, but also for students, principals and district leaders must take responsibility to
support professional development.

Observing and Analyzing Teaching
This session is designed for evaluators and school leaders. While this course gives evaluators and school leaders
the skills for comprehensive documentation of observed teaching, the emphasis is on using data in conferences to
stimulate teacher growth. There is a significant focus explicitly on leadership, collegiality, experimentation and
constant learning for all. Join Dr. Saphier and learn what over 25,000 administrators in the U.S. and in
international schools have learned.

Combining EXPLORE and PLAN Data with ACT Research to Promote Student Readiness for College and Work
This session will help you to understand how to use EXPLORE and PLAN reports. In addition to the two copies of
the individual student reports, schools receive six reports for each of the programs. A data CD is also provided for
compiling custom reports. Districts receive four composite reports plus a data CD with information on all students
tested in the district. ACT provides supporting documents for interpreting the data and for using the information in
the classroom.
