Better Practice Visits (BPV)
Better Practice Visits are used to increase student achievement both immediately and over the long term. These visits are a combination of instructional walkthroughs and teacher conferences. This is accomplished by conducting visits in a manner where student achievement is the focus. This allows both the teacher and administrator to be comfortable and open about what is best for students. We have used these visits as part of our improvement plan and have seen growth in “On Grade Level” of 15% school‐wide in the first year. BPV also provides excellent opportunities for embedded professional development.
