Decision Making for Results/Data and Effective Grading Results
In this new keynote presentation for 2009, Dr. Douglas Reeves advances three essential ideas. First, leadership
matters for schools and educational systems, particularly in times of crisis and challenge. Second, leadership vision
is necessary but not sufficient. We need clear and specific blueprints of actions for teachers, leaders, and
communities. Third, hope in troubled times is not a matter of blind faith, but a combination of several factors in
the H.O.P.E. matrix: Hope, Optimism, Purpose, and Empathy. New research concepts for 2009 include:
- Renewal Coaching
- Web 2.0 Dilemmas
- Teacher Stress and Anxiety
- Impact of Data Teams
- Leadership Maps
- Finding Focus
Dr. Reeves will include several interactive learning activities that will engage every participant at every level of
school leadership, from the classroom to the board room. The founder of The Leadership and Learning Center, Dr.
Reeves has worked on educational leadership issues on every continent. His more than twenty books have are
widely used by teachers, professors, and professional development leaders around the world. He shares his
research freely at www.LeadandLearn.com and responds to personal requests for information at
