Memphis, Tennessee, home of the Blues, Bar-B-Q, and Elvis will serve as the host city for the 2009 Principals’ Academy; Hosted by Memphis City Schools.  Educators from around the United States will gather in Memphis June 1-5, 2009, to participate in a stimulating in-depth and comprehensive two-part-five day Leadership, Instructional and Operational conference headlined by renowned educators, lecturers, business leaders, IT professionals, and other influential leaders and advocates in and for public education. 

This year’s theme “Breakthrough Leadership, Breakthrough Results” captures the focus and commitment to preparing school and district administrators to be effective instructional leaders in education. 

The Principals’ Academy is designed for superintendents, district level administrators, principals and assistant principals and teacher leaders.  The conference will bring leaders together who share the same passion for effectively educating and preparing children for the global economy.
