The mission of the A. B. Hill  Elementary Library Media Center is to support the district’s curriculum, aid members of our learning community in becoming efficient users of information from both public and school libraries, and to cultivate the love of reading.

Students will be introduced to the various resources available in the library, how to use these resources, and where to find them. Students will be taught how to use the OPAC (on-line catalog) and how to find and use print and on-line reference sources. Students will be exposed to literature of various genres through weekly library visits. Reading outside the classroom is promoted through participation in the MCS Reads program and Accelerated Reader (AR).
