CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

  • A. B. Hill Elementary community celebrated meeting  state and federal standards for AYP in 2006 –07 for a consecutive three years.  All targets were met for Attendance, Reading/Language Arts/Writing, Math and TCAP testing participation
  • A. B. Hill attendance rate is 97% - leading Area 2 in the Memphis City Schools district.
  • Eight teachers have completed the MCS Literacy Academy.
  • Two teachers have received National Board Certification.
  • The Milken Award for Teacher Excellence was presented to kindergarten teacher, Rhonda Borden in the Fall of 2006.
 
  • A partnership with LeMoyne Owen College and University of Memphis provides tutoring for our students and an invaluable experience for future educators.
  • The Next Level Ministries Basketball Team, sponsored by our adopter, finished the season with a 46-0 record and won the Elementary League Championship for the ninth year running.
  • Former students using their athletic talents to pursue higher education degrees:  Andre Allen, Arenzo Jenkins, Stephen Blair, Justin Wallace, Johnathan Youngblood.
