It is the mission of American Way Middle School to ensure that every child develops the ability to perform effectively in high school and in a diverse society. We want to equip every child with the skills to read with comprehension, write clearly, compute accurately, think, reason, and use information to solve problems.

We are a community of learners dedicated to providing a safe, positive, and educationally enriching environment for all students as they strive for academic, social, and personal excellence in their quest to become capable, contributing members of society.

I shall mount up with wings as an eagle.

I shall maximize my mind, my time and

my abilities to always think smart and creatively.

I will always do what is right, productive, and beneficial

for me, my peers, my family, my teachers,

my community, and my environment at all times.

Daily, I shall come prepared with a transformed mind

 and renewed strength.

I shall run and not be weary!

I shall walk and not faint!
