Bellevue, White Station Middle School Students to Shadow Med Students, Health Professionals
at UT Health Science Center Tomorrow, Feb. 1

Memphis, Tenn. – Students from Bellevue and White Station Middle Schools will take their learning on the road tomorrow, Friday, February 1, for a lively day of lessons in the world of medicine and health science. It’s an exciting opportunity provided as part of UT Health Science Center’s second annual Job Shadow Day.

Students will have a chance to attend a class with future doctors and medical professionals studying at UT, while gaining an up close and personal perspective on health-related higher learning and careers in the fields of medicine and health science.

Students from Bellevue and White Station Middle Schools will be at UT Health Science Center from 9 a.m. – noon. Contact the schools for more information about their visit.

 

 

 

The Annual Distinctive Stepper Jamborhee, Saturday, January 26th, 11:00 a.m. More than 40 teams will be competing!

 

 

The Mega Party was Friday, January 18th and it was awesome! Thanks to the students and parents of Bellevue who helped our school to raise more than $10,000 for our school!

Red Ribbon Week, October 22-26

Monday, October 22 (The Red/White Chain Link contest begins) The winning homeroom will receive a pizza party and a page dedicated to them in the yearbook. Students can purchase chain links for .25 cents during homeroom from Room 100 in the gymansium. The length of the chain will determine the winner.

Wednesday, October 24 - Annual Door Decorating Contest. Each grade's theme must be enticing and noticeable.

Friday, October 26 - Annual Red Ribbon Week School Dance, "Let's Show Good Character Dance....Stay Drug Free." Time TBA

Annual "Back to School Bobcat Dance will take place Friday, August 31. Please stay posted for details about the dance location and the time. This dance will be hosted by the football team and the athletic department

 

The Annual Title One/PTSA "Kick-Off" Meeting will take place, Thursday, August 23rd at 5:30 or at the conclusion of our first football game at Crump Stadium (Central High School). As always, food and beverages will be served for our parents!

Re: Eighth Grade Week (May 15-18)

The following is an informational guide for eighth grade students expecting to participate fully in all activities planned for the 2007 eighth grade class.

Activities scheduled for eighth grade include Class Day , an off-campus picnic, a yearbook signing party, a prom, and hospitality room. Students will also receive flowers for Class Day, a class tee shirt and a school yearbook if all fees are paid in full by the designated deadline. (The activities mentioned above will be shared with the ninth grade class.)

The eighth grade class fee is $65.00. This fee includes all the highlighted activities mentioned above. This fee can be paid in two installments.

The first installment of $25.00 is due by March 8, 2007. This installment will be used to purchase the class tee shirt. The final installment must be paid in full by April 16, 2007 in order to participate in scheduled activities.

Class Colors (Class Day) May 15, 2007

Girls will wear white dresses and white shoes.

Boys will wear dark trousers, white dress shirts, and dark dress shoes.

Prom Attire

Students must wear appropriate formal or dress-up clothing, including dress shoes. May 18, 2007

Activities

Eighth grade sponsors will plan additional activities each six weeks. Students with satisfactory conduct grades, academic grades, and attendance can participate in extra activities for an additional fee. Students must wear class tee shirts to participate in all off-campus trips unless otherwise directed by the principal or sponsors.

Rules/Consequences/Behavior

Eligibility to participate in eighth grade activities can be maintained by demonstrating appropriate behavior, both in and out of the classroom. Students receiving three home suspensions, four detentions, one board suspension, or any punishment for fighting after the receipt of this letter will be ineligible to participate in any eighth grade activity except Class Day. Students receiving an N or U during a six weeks grading period will be ineligible to participate in any activities the next grading period.
