Bethel Grove Elementary

Student/Teacher/Parent/Compact

Bethel Grove School has jointly developed this compact with parents and students who share in the responsibility for improving student academic achievement.  The school and parents will also develop a partnership to help students achieve the state's high standards.

____See that my child is punctual and attends school regularly.

____Support the school in its efforts to maintain proper discipline.

____Establish a time for homework and review it regularly.

____Provide a quiet well-lighted place for study.

____Encourage my child's efforts and be available for questions.

____Stay aware of what my child is learning.

____Provide a library card for my child.

____Read with my child and let my child see me read.

____Provide a set bedtime that gives my child sufficient sleep to function at school.

____Encourage my child to be a better listener.

____Encourage my child to verbalize his/her problems and misunderstandings.

____Encourage students and parents by frequently providing student progress reports.

____Use special activities in the classroom to make learning enjoyable.

____Read to students daily.

____Instill high academics and expectations aiming to be the best they can be.

____Have a warm inviting classroom to parents and students with the freedom of volunteerism.
