The vision of Caldwell Elementary School is the collaborative and joint effort of all stakeholders in the investment of our students. We envision an environment that is safe, challenging and supportive of student achievement. Our vision for Caldwell is a diverse and multifaceted learning environment with opportunities for academic excellence and personal growth. We envision our faculty and staff working effectively with parents, the community and other partners to provide a positive educational experiences for every student.  At Caldwell, our vision embraces "Every Day, Every Child" as we provide positive educational experiences.

STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

  • We believe that all students are a valued member of our school and community.
  • We believe that all students are capable of the highest level of learning when given opportunity and resources.
  • We believe that it is the shared responsibility of the faculty and staff, the parents/guardians, the students themselves and all interested stakeholders to ensure the best education and learning experience possible.
  • We further believe that these stakeholders will collaborate through open, clear, concise communication to make decisions and implement policies that address the educational and social needs of the students.
  • We believe that instruction in the classroom should be appropriate, challenging and structured to meet the individual education need of each student; and that this instruction should be based on research and proven instructional strategies and methods.
  • We believe that academic performance should be assessed in a timely fashion to measure students' strengths and areas of deficiency to accurately plan for future instruction.
  • We believe that for students to compete with their counterparts it is essential to provide training for the use of computers and modern technology, to conduct research, assess data and retrieve information.
  • We believe that teachers and staff, as well as parents and other stakeholders should participate in on-going training and professional development to address the ever-changing needs of the student.
  • We believe that the school and district policies are implemented to ensure clear, sound organizational practices and that those policies support the mission of the school.
  • We believe that each child's safety in school and surrounding area will be procured through diligence on the part of staff, parents/guardians, students. community members and other stakeholders.
