3rd Annual G.W. Carver High School Reunion of Classes

Red and White Ball

is planned for December 26, 2008 at the Holiday Inn Select on Democrat Road. The event will start at 7:30 p.m. All Carver High School Alumni and friends are invited to attend. The cost is $40 in advance and $50 after December 15. A limited number of tickets are available.

Those of you that are out of town can contact the hotel for needed rooms by calling 90-332-1130.

There will be great music, jazz and a DJ, for the evening affair.

This year the event will feature a sit down buffet style dinner with light music and plenty of door prizes.

George Washington Carver Teacher of the Month Program

Carver High School Teacher of the Month Program1 

The Teacher of the Month program is a monthly award that recognizes teachers who exemplify excellence in education.  One individual a month will be chosen to receive the Teacher of the Month Award.

 

Student of the Six Weeks Program

The purpose of this program is to identify, recognize, encourage and award high achieving students attending George Washington Carver High School, Memphis Tennessee.

 

Carver Student of the Six Weeks Program

 

Student Selection Criteria:

The selection criteria for the Student of the Six Weeks are not to be based on any one characteristic of a student. However, we would likefor the person(s) nominating the student to consider the following criteria when evaluating a student:

Good citizenship        

Respectful to peers and teachers

Class attendance 

   Leadership qualities

Positive attitude 

Classroom participation

Demonstrates responsibility     

Extracurricular activities

Grades (not necessarily an “A” student) 

Good work ethics (hard worker)

Youth About Business (YAB)! YAB conducts one of the most innovative leadership-training programs for youth in the marketplace today. The vision of Youth About Business is to provide an innovative training program to prepare youth to be successful in a business environment. Our mission is to expose youth to business theory and principles through our experiential learning model.
