Jennifer, a senior, is a gifted student who enjoys being challenged. During her junior year, she maintained the highest grade in Advanced Placement U.S. History. She has an impressive academic drive which sets her apart from her peers. Jennifer has taken an active leadership role at Central. She has competed with the Knowledge Bowl and the Mock Trial Teams for three years. She is currently serving on the executive board of the National Honor Society and is the vice president of Communications for the Student Council.

Jennifer has presented workshops at an annual Student Council Lock-in and at the West Tennessee TASC (Tennessee Association of Student Councils) Workshop. She holds a 4.86 weighted grade point average. Jennifer has been a recipient of the William H. Sweet Award for Academic Excellence for four years. During her sophomore year, Jennifer won the Mount Holyoke Book Award. She won the Yale Book Award as a junior. She is also a member of Mu Alpha Theta, the math honor society, and the National Spanish Honor Society. She was selected to attend prep school at Taft in Connecticut.

Jennifer has participated in numerous charitable and community-building events including Race to Erase Racism, Making Strides against Breast Cancer 5K Walk, and the Walk against Alzheimer's. She has worked as a volunteer in the soup kitchen at St. John's Methodist Church. She has helped share her passion for learning by tutoring elementary students. Recently, she chaired a school service project supporting breast cancer research and the efforts of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
