THIS WEEK’S WINNER

Danielle, a senior, is a National Merit Semi-Finalist and is ranked fourth in a class of 427. She currently excels in Advanced Placement Calculus AB in addition to AP Biology. She holds a 4.854 weighted grade point average. Danielle actively engages her classmates in math class while working on difficult concepts. She is president of Mu Alpha Theta, the math honor society. With this organization, she spearheaded and facilitated the Fall Harvest Festival.

During this festival, which was targeted toward incoming freshmen, students participated in math games to develop their interest and improve their skills in mathematics. This past summer Danielle graduated from a highly competitive math and science program held at Phillips Academy in Andover , Mass. This five-week summer program was designed for students with challenging academic goals to prepare them for the rigors of college life.

Danielle attended this prep school for three summers. Danielle is a member of the nationally competitive Central High School Hip Hop Team. She also is active in Bridge Builders, the Student Council, and the National Honor Society.
