Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year! This year, we proudly celebrate the academic gains that were made and the enhancement of programs and services offered at our school. The administrative team has worked collaboratively to prepare for a successful school year. Several Chickasaw students participated in the Title I Chickasaw Bound Summer Program to help ease the transition to middle school and 8th grade. The faculty began the school year by participating in quality professional development sessions to strengthen their pedagogy in all subject areas.
Chickasaw offers eighteen different student clubs that will focus on creating and maintaining a mentor/mentee relationship with each student individually. Various incentives have been planned for students who accomplish behavior, academic and improvement goals, as well as incentives for teachers who continuously work to achieve the goals of the school, district and state.
New initiatives are being implemented to increase the percentage of parental involvement. We have eight gender-based homerooms and are practicing full inclusion for students with special needs. Go Team Chickasaw! We are proud! We are proud of our students, faculty and community! Come see us soon! |
