Using the Food Guide Pyramid can provide guidelines for healthy eating. It is important to balance food intake and physical activity to promote healthful living.

Task 1:

1. Go to this Food pyramid web site. http://kidshealth.org/kid/stay_healthy/food/pyramid.html

2. Read through this site about the food pyramid to find out how many servings of each group you need each day. You will have to read through each section and go to the next page until you are finished.

3. You will prepare a day's menu that meets the guidelines found at this site.

4. Go into Word. Type your menu. Try to find clipart to add to the document.

If you complete this ahead of time, try to make another menu that will appeal to a totally different eater.
