A message from our principal

Dear Colonial Family,

It is a pleasure to welcome you to a new school year.  The Colonial Middle School Family is excited about the many challenging and engaging programs for this school year. We want to assure you that we will maintain a safe and nurturing school environment.

“Character is the sum total of our everyday choices.” Margaret Jensen.  Our character today is a result of our choices yesterday.  Our character tomorrow will be a result of our choices today.  To change your character, change your choices.  Day by day, what you think, what you choose, and what you do is who you will become.

Middle School Years go by so quickly. The three years of middle school becomes the foundation for success in high school.  CMS will fully implement a team approach to learning this school year.  Students will receive a schedule that allows them to stay on an assigned team throughout the day.    Each team will have a common planning time which will allow parents an opportunity to meet with the entire team.

Again, I am excited about a new school year and I look forward to meeting you at our Open House on August 21, at 6:00 p.m.  Learning is not limited to the classroom, so join the Colonial Staff as we help each student discover the CHOICES that will take them beyond their talent.
