The mission of Cordova Elementary School is to provide a safe and challenging environment that values and supports educational excellence. We are committed to help all our students successfully achieve their maximum potential for becoming responsible and productive citizens. Our parents, teachers and community members work together to set rigorous academic and creative expectations for each student.

 

School Vision

The vision of Cordova Elementary School is to offer children a program based upon their needs and to prepare them to succeed in the 21st century. Our school will have a challenging, risk-taking environment with high expectations and instructional activities that are meaningful, relevant, and inclusive. All stakeholders will accept the responsibility of providing a climate where everyone learns and achieves.

The staff will be committed to preparing students to succeed in our technological society. We will continue to create a dialogue between home, school, and community that will teach and reinforce the skills necessary for students to make appropriate decisions. The students at Cordova Elementary will be equipped with the skills and proficiency needed to meet prospective challenges in a changing world.

To attain our vision, the staff at Cordova Elementary School holds the following beliefs, expectations and attitudes:

  • · The staff is committed to the job of producing high achievement for all students; Cordova
    teachers can successfully instruct all students, ensuring high achievement.

  • · Norms of high performance and quality staff development for faculty members promote achievement and counteract apathy, negative attitudes and practices, and low performance.
