Major
goals of Cordova Elementary are to provide opportunities for students:

Before and After Child Care
Requirements
All
students living within school boundaries qualify to attend Cordova's
optional program. Students living outside school boundaries must
meet the following requirements:
Grade
1
- 70
percent accuracy on the school's entrance test
- Satisfactory
report card grades
- Satisfactory
work habits, conduct and attendance (including promptness to school).
More than 15 absences and/or tardies are considered unsatisfactory.
Grades
2-4
- B
average in all academic subjects
- Satisfactory
or above grades in nonacademic subjects, work habits and conduct
- Satisfactory
attendance (including promptness to school). More than 15 absences
and/or tardies are considered unsatisfactory.
- 70th
percentile or above in total reading/reading composite, total
language/language arts composite and total math/math composite
on recent standardized achievement test
- 70th
percentile or above in total reading and total math on the shool's
second grade admittance test
- No
other tests will be accepted for admittance into the first and
second grades.
To
maintain optional status, students must have the following:
- B
average in all academic subjects
- Satisfactory
grades in special subjects, work habits and conduct
- Satisfactory
attendance (including promptness to school). More that 15 absences
and/or tardies are considered unsatistactory.
