• CHS College Fair - September 8 - 6:30 - 8:00PM - CHS Lobby - Juniors and seniors come out and meet with an array of recruiters from the University of Memphis, Tennessee State University, UT Chattanooga, Ole Miss, ITT Tech, and many, many more.  Over 40 colleges and universities confirmed.   Get information regarding college admission requirements, applications procedures and deadlines, tuitition, financial aid, and academic scholarships.
• Tutoring Schedule - Several Cordova High teachers offer before and/or after school tutoring opportunities in a variety of subject areas. Some schedules have been posted. If there is not a schedule for a particular subject you need help with, check with individual teachers.

• Interest Assessment - An assessment exercise that may help you learn more about your preferences. It is based on John Holland's Theory of Vocational Choice. This theory maintains that people can be loosely classified into six categories: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional. College majors and careers can also be sorted into these same categories. This assessment will help you learn about which of the six areas tend to relate to your interests. Next, you can look at college majors and careers that may be consistent with your preferences. You are more likely to be satisfied with career choices that are consistent with your skills, interests, and values.
• Kuder Career Assessment
  Use the Edamerica College and Career Planning System to assess your interests, skills, and work values. Sponsored by Edamerica, every student in Tennessee is able to access this planning system free of charge. See your counselor to get your batch code.
• O*Net Online - A full-access, online version of the occupational network database. Search occupations, match your skills to occupations. Provides easy access to the nation's primary source of occupational information, providing comprehensive information on key attributes and characteristics of workers and occupations.
• TCIDS - Tennessee Career Information Delivery Systems; free to Tennesseeans, an online supercenter that unlocks career and educational opportunities.  Includes Interest Survey, Career Database, Institution Questionairre, and Institution Database.

• Intervention Central - Intervention Central offers free tools and resources to help school staff and parents to promote positive classroom behaviors and foster effective learning for all children and youth. The site was created by Jim Wright, a school psychologist and school administrator from Central New York. Visit to check out newly posted academic and behavioral intervention strategies, download publications on effective teaching practices, and use tools that streamline classroom assessment and intervention.
