A very successful year was enjoyed by faculty and students at Corning Elementary School. That success is evidenced with the achievement of AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress). This would not have been possible without the combined efforts of the Excelling Corning Coyote faculty, staff, students and parents. |
| The principal, teachers, parents, students, and staff at Corning envision a school where students receive skills needed to develop in every area in an atmosphere of freedom and security. It is important to us to produce a positive, interactive learning environment where students are inspired to excel through praise and encouragement and are treated as individuals of dignity and worth, who will contribute to society. |
| Teaching and learning experiences are directed with the whole child in mind. The overall goal for each student is to promote a desire for learning both in the present and in the future. Teachers use many different approaches to learning by providing frequent and varying learning opportunities. The teachers are becoming facilitators of learning as they guide and encourage our students to become independent learners. |

Parents are also actively involved in building the success of our students through such endeavors as Site Based council meetings, the Parent-Teacher Organization, special assembly programs, field trips, and the Parent Patrol. We believe that by working as a team, we can achieve our goals. We are looking forward to another excellent year at Corning Elementary School. There have been many changes and new additions to our faculty and staff. We want to welcome everyone back and say a hearty "Welcome Aboard" to the newest additions to the Corning Elementary family.
