Good Neighbors

On Monday, November 27, 2006, Coach Nancy Tyner took her P.E. classes at Craigmont Middle School outside to do some campus clean-up work. She planned this effort as part of the MCS Healthy Choices Week. Her idea was to have students participate in some good old-fashioned outdoors exercise, and at the same time, accomplish a service project activity. The students raked and bagged leaves on the campus, but started first with the school's neighbor, Lighthouse Baptist Church. It took each class working every period all day for the students to complete raking and bagging the leaves at both sites. Needless to say, the corner of Covington Pike and Yale Road looked great at the end of the day thanks to their efforts!

Pictured here are Coach Tyner and some of her students raking leaves in the front yard of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
