Students in Mrs.Tammy Davis's 2-04 class have been learning about

pioneer life while reading books from the popular Little House on the Prairie series.Students are engaged while learning about some of the
first settlers and the hardships those early pioneers faced.

In addition to learning new vocabulary, students were able to better understand life as a pioneer with activities such as making butter and building log cabins
with pretzel sticks and discarded milk cartons from the school cafeteria.
