The 4th grade story for this week was What Jo Did. The story is about a girl named Jo Marie
who makes new friends when she shows off her talent in a
basketball game in which she was the only girl.

Ms Collier Revs Up Her Team

Looks like a Fast Break

The fourth graders had their share of fun and excitement by playing basketball against each section. Having the students engaged in a game of basketball helped them make a concrete connection to this week’s Grade level expectations and course level expectations such as:
cause and effect reading comprehension, and targeted vocabulary words
(basketball, unbelievable, rim, swatted, hoop, fouled, jersey, marveled, and speechless).

Get the Re-Bound!

I Got It!

This hands-on learning activity provided the ELL, ESL, and academically challenged students with visuals and hands on learning experience which helped them comprehend the
weekly reading selection test and make new friends.

Special reorganization goes out to Mrs. Riley’s class for their great win!
The fourth grade team is extremely proud of our wonderful Cougars!
Very Special Thanks to The Adults Too!
