Peggy M. Herring, Principal

Principal's Message

Hello,

As the principal of Double Tree Elementary, I look forward to a year of successful achievements.  I am very excited for the school year 2009-2010. It promises to be a great year!  We have been given the charge to concentrate on assuming responsibility for our successes, to build positive relationships, to focus on results and to give respect to everyone.

Double Tree has an excellent academic program focusing on the Montessori Philosophy in grades K-3 and emphasis in technology in grades 4-6.  Students are given the opportunity to participate in many activities that enhance their talents and interests.

I believe all children can be successful if they are given the right opportunities.  I believe that parents, guardians, and the community of neighbors and friends can be a powerful support system for our children.  I encourage parents, grandparents, and guardians to take an active role at Double Tree to help to mold and shape our students to be leaders of tomorrow.  Volunteer!  Double Tree needs YOU!

Sincerely,

Peggy Herring

Message From Instructional Facilitator

Greetings,

I am very excited and proud to greet you as your Professional Development School Compliance Coach (PDSCC).  It is a great and pleasurable responsibility to work with the faculty, staff, parents, and community to help drive our students' academic and social success here at Double Tree Elementary.  We value our parents and community leaders, because without you, the educational success of our students would not be possible.  I encourage you to continue  to support our students and our school to help ensure that every child receives and opportunity for a quality education.

Stay connected and volunteer. We need you to help Double Tree continue as "The Best School in the Whole Wide World!"

Sincerely,

Romanita Partee
