You have probably seen him in lots of movies but you may not know who he is. Morgan Freeman was born on June 1, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee. He dreamed of becoming a train conductor. In the late 1950’s, he moved to Los Angeles to become an actor. He first appeared on the big screen in the movies "Easy Rider" and "Count Dracula." He won an Oscar nomination for the movie "Pulp Fiction." He won his first Golden Globe Award for the movie "Driving Miss Daisy." Morgan Freeman now owns a home in Chicago, Illinois. One thing he enjoys doing is sailing his boat. He is known as a hard worker and has won many nominations for awards in his lifetime. Mr. Freeman has donated $250,000 to establish a performing arts program at Hutchinson School for girls. He co-owns a blues club called Club Zero in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He is one of the most respected actors alive. |
