The Downtown Elementary School Newspaper is edited by our school librarian, Dr. D. Jackson Maxwell. Students in the Newspaper Club write and publish articles, games, regular columns, and interviews. Extra assistance is given by first grade teacher, Mr. Timothy Cain. Special thanks to Mr. Blake Fontenay, an editorial writer at The Commercial Appeal, for his exemplary volunteer work with our Newspaper Club.
