April Teacher of the Month!

Congratulations to Mrs. Isom for being voted Teacher of the Month.  Mrs. Isom joined Dunbar Elementary in January and teaches the 3rd grade.  She is an asset to the Dunbar family.

February Teacher of the Month!

Ms. Wayne was voted Teacher of the Month for February.  Ms. Wayne is a preschool teacher at Dunbar Elementary.  Throughout January and February Ms. Wayne dedicated herself above and beyond her call of duty.  Ms. Wayne worked with a small group of 5th grade students to help prepare them for the TCAP Writing Assessment.  The students soared to new heights thanks to the love and care of Ms. Wayne.

MCS Reads School of the Month

Thanks to Dunbar Elementary's Book Club, Dunbar was recognized as one of MCS Reads Schools of the Month!  The school was rewarded with a visit from Ronald McDonald.  Ronald McDonald visited an Honor's Program and entertained students with an interactive story. 

Spelling Bee Winner!

Congratulations to our first place winner in Dunbar's First Annual Spelling Bee!

Adopters Galore!!!

Dunbar Elementary celebrated four additions to the Adopters Program on November 27, 2007.  Lambert Church of God in Christ, M.J. Edwards Funeral Home, N.J. Ford Funeral Home, and Dundee’s Air Sclusive met with the Dunbar family to celebrate the occasion and to sign certificates of partnership.  A reception followed to allow the new adopters a chance to mingle with the faculty and students.
